2023 IN REVIEW

Image
2023 has been by far the strangest and the most difficult. I travelled to The Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Sweden, Slovakia and Romania in a quest to create content to share with you and find a job. It was fun trying new dishes and seeing amazing places. The company which I was working, Movate, got bankrupt in spring and I spent the rest of the year doing tests and interviewing. No company wanted to hire me in the long run, so I find myself at the end of 2024 jobless although I sent more than 5000 applications. Consequently, I decided to spend maximum 3 months interviewing for all job markets next year as I prefer to help people with my blog posts. If I am not hired within 3 months in a country, I will cease making effort in the respective there and switch to a new country. My decision is to remove 6 countries from Europe in 2024 as it takes too much effort to receive an offer there based on past interviewing experience. Besides applying for jobs, I spent my time learning new social...

SEARCHING FOR A JOB IN LUXEMBOURG

Image
Luxembourg is one of the countries with the highest standard of living in the world. Headquarters of some companies are being located there. Moreover, it is a country that offers high salaries to candidates willing to work there. The fuel is cheaper than in other Western European countries, plus the VAT for food is lower too (VAT was 3% in 2016, when I was living there). One aspect which must be considered when applying for a role in Luxembourg is that rent prices are high. You usually must pay one month’s rent plus commission (equal to one month’s rent) plus agency fee (equal to one month’s rent) upon the signing of a renting contract. To make costs bearable when starting a job in Luxembourg, you could either find accommodation in a city close to the Luxembourgish border and commute during workdays or find rent in a neighboring town or village, where rents are lower. Luxembourgish companies require more languages than other European firms (usually two or three languages, such ...

IGNITE YOUR COURAGE IS BESTSELLER IN SIX COUNTRIES

Image
“Ignite Your Courage” is the second bestselling compilation book to which I contribute. The book became number 1 in 6 countries at the beginning of October this year. United States of America, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Italy are the countries that rewarded the effort of the authors and Ignite Publishing. My story describes my journey as job searcher in Europe and is supported by blog posts and LinkedIn articles with tips and tricks to find a job in several European countries, where I interviewed and received at least a job offer. I decided to write this blog post to share the writing journey and the promotional strategy that I used as it may be useful for all of you. The other authors “Ignite Your Courage” used different strategies, so I will not provide details about it. Anyway, we supported each other by meeting every week, tagging and inspiring ourselves from each other’s social media messages. The writing journey started at the beginning of Ju...

The first book, “Ignite The Entrepreneur”, appeared at the end of May 2021 and it is about my efforts to become abundant using creativity. I am a self-trained designer and I learned to both design clothes, accessories and home decorations and promote my work online on my own. Of course I had a lot of support from professionals from Mindvalley tribe, fellow authors, the NLP community and other collaborators and friends. Furry Friend was my helper throughout the writing process. Pink Panther recently joined the team. You can find my power quote from “Ignite ...

20 PAINTINGS WORTH SEEING – PART II

Image
My last blog post about art took you on a journey to five museums from Europe which I hope that you enjoyed as much as I liked sharing. This blog post will provide details about five more artworks. Enjoy reading!   6.      SACRED AND PROFANE LOVE “Sacred and Profane Love” is an artwork by Titian, probably painted in 1515. The painting was commissioned by Niccolò Aurelio, to celebrate his marriage. It is a refined allegory of love. Two similar women sit on a carved Ancient Roman sarcophagus that has been converted to a water-trough, or a trough made to look like a Roman sarcophagus. The broad ledges from the painting are not found in actual sarcophagi. How the water enters is unclear. There is a small, winged boy, who may be Cupid between the two women, son and companion of Venus, or merely a putto. He is looking into the water and splashing a hand in it. The woman on the left is fully and richly dressed; her clothes are now usually recognized as those of ...
