FURRY FRIEND


I am sure that you have noticed a cute character appearing in my social media posts. Yes, I am talking about the toy called Furry Friend. This blog post will provide a few details about him. Furry Friend was born in Poland in the summer of 2018, so he’s 5 years old. He was designed in Sweden by IKEA and is of British origin. He is the toy that I am carrying everywhere. The features of the Furry Friend are: innocent eyes, that urge you to adopt him, attentive ears, two huge incisive teeth, tiny and fragile legs, soft grey fur and a huge pink tail, that matches the color of the legs. The toy is a bit bigger than the palm of hand, so it is easy to transport it everywhere.

The toy is usually accessorized with female and male accessories, such as necklaces and bracelets, and he is my muse since this summer. The Furry Friend is being washed once a week with shampoo or shower gel and that is why he is so clean and he smells so well!

I started using him as source of inspiration in 2019. I created a few collages this summer and three VIDA collections: "Furry Friend", "Pink Ballerina" and "Egyptian Adventure". 

My favorite collection is "Pink Ballerina", inspired by Barbie The Movie. I spent more time designing this pattern than for any other collection. It took me almost a night. More collections and posts with the Furry Friend are coming soon. I am even thinking about creating comic books with the cute toy.

SEARCHING FOR A JOB IN HUNGARY

  Hungary is a European country that hired me. The selection process is usually fast, of approximately two weeks. I advise to check the website of the company with which you are interviewing, a YouTube presentation, the job description and to prepare a list of 5-8 questions, to show your interest in the company and the role. You can check the LinkedIn profiles of the interviewers, to have an idea on their expertise. An important step for your preparation is checking salary reports, available online for free. You can download them on your computer and read them. You need to check the industry for which you are applying and the number of years of experience. You can mention a salary range according to the salary report during the interview. If you are interviewing online, you can add sticking notes with important things about the company and the role to your screen and use them if you can’t remember. 2023 IN REVIEW

2023 has been by far the strangest and the most difficult. I travelled to The Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Sweden, Slovakia and Romania in a quest to create content to share with you and find a job. It was fun trying new dishes and seeing amazing places. The company which I was working, Movate, got bankrupt in spring and I spent the rest of the year doing tests and interviewing. No company wanted to hire me in the long run, so I find myself at the end of 2024 jobless although I sent more than 5000 applications. Consequently, I decided to spend maximum 3 months interviewing for all job markets next year as I prefer to help people with my blog posts. If I am not hired within 3 months in a country, I will cease making effort in the respective there and switch to a new country. My decision is to remove 6 countries from Europe in 2024 as it takes too much effort to receive an offer there based on past interviewing experience.
